The Israeli military, in coordination with its internal security agency, has announced a “precision strike” targeting senior Hamas leadership. While the exact location was not disclosed in the military’s official statement, CNN, citing an Israeli source, reported that the strike took place in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
“For years, these Hamas leaders have overseen the group’s terrorist operations,” the Israeli military stated. “They are directly responsible for the brutal October 7 massacre and for orchestrating the ongoing war against the State of Israel.”
According to Al Jazeera, the individuals targeted in the strike were involved in negotiations—raising concerns over its implications for mediation efforts.
