Twenty-four people were injured in a traffic incident in Doshi district of Baghlan province, according to a statement released by the Taliban’s police command in the region.
The crash reportedly occurred last night in the Sang Salakh school area when a passenger bus (model 580) collided with a gas cylinder.
No further details about the incident have been provided.
This comes shortly after a similar crash involving a 580-model bus, a motorcycle, and a Mazda truck in Herat, which killed 79 people, including 19 children. Most of the victims in that incident were migrants recently deported from Iran.
Traffic accidents are common across Afghanistan, often resulting in multiple fatalities daily. Poor road conditions, lack of traffic regulations, and driver negligence are frequently cited as the main causes.
