A cultural and business event aimed at supporting Afghan entrepreneurs and fostering solidarity among the Afghan diaspora will take place in the French capital on August 23, organizers said.
Billed as the largest gathering of Afghan migrants and entrepreneurs in France, the “Afghan Mandawi Bazaar” is expected to host more than 50 stalls and attract over 2,000 visitors.
The event will feature displays of artisanal products, traditional music performances representing Afghanistan’s ethnic diversity, and a children’s play area. Organizers said Afghans already running businesses in France, as well as those with startup ideas, are encouraged to participate.
The bazaar will provide a platform for skills ranging from tailoring and dairy production to curtain-making and carpet trading. Organizers said they will also offer legal and branding support to entrepreneurs to help them launch companies, print business cards, and enter the French market.
Afghan communities abroad have frequently organized cultural events to preserve national identity and heritage in host countries, particularly amid ongoing displacement since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021.
